About The Position

Orrick is looking for a driven Managing Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in any of its Northern California offices (San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento). Responsibilities include: working on pre-litigation matters, high profile single plaintiff employment cases, systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions; responding to administrative charges; counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues; and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, creative, and practical, and should also have outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. This position offers the opportunity to assume significant responsibility, work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, argue motions, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience at a peer law firm
  • Exceptional academic credentials
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a member of the California State Bar
