About The Position

Join Our Team as an Investigations Counsel at Axiom Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site required, 4-5 dpw) We are seeking an experienced Investigations Counsel to join our technology client team. In this role, you will lead full-cycle corporate investigations for a fast-paced global SaaS/technology company, ensuring issues are handled thoroughly, consistently, and in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. This is an existing vacancy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on, full-cycle workplace and corporate investigations experience.
  • Demonstrated background handling complex, sensitive investigations, including Title VII / anti-discrimination and harassment matters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes investigations simultaneously under tight timelines.
  • Exceptional interviewing, fact-finding, and written communication skills, including concise, defensible report writing.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and licensed to practice law in California.
  • Willing to work on-site in the client's office 4-5 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior in-house investigations experience at a global or rapidly scaling technology company.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Security) on investigations and remediation.
  • Familiarity with global employment and data privacy considerations in cross-border investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end workplace investigations from intake through final report, including scoping, interviewing, evidence review, findings, and remediation recommendations.
  • Handle a portfolio of 6–8 complex matters at any given time, with an expectation to close most cases within 30 days.
  • Investigate a wide range of issues, from interpersonal complaints to complex multi-party matters, including Title VII and other EEO-related cases.
  • Draft clear, well-reasoned investigation reports and partner closely with Legal, HR, Compliance, and business stakeholders on outcomes and remediation.
  • Develop and refine investigation protocols, documentation standards, and reporting metrics.
  • Stay current on employment, anti-discrimination, and whistleblower laws and best practices in workplace investigations.
