Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar (required)
At least 7 years of experience practicing employment law at a law firm and in-house
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Excellent communication, problemsolvingand interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Some experience supporting other markets including Canada and/or Latin America preferred

Responsibilities

Provide day to day support and legal advice and counsel to internal clients on a wide range of employment law matters
Provide advice in relation to discipline and terminations, leaves and accommodations, policy-related questions, and state and federal laws, including keeping apprised of latest legal developments.
Draft employment agreements, separation agreements, and other related documents. Manage outside counsel on employment litigation matters and administrative charges
Build strong relationships and serve as a strategic partner to the business,providing practical advice to mitigate risk.
