Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required)
  • At least 7 years of experience practicing employment law at a law firm and in-house
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Excellent communication, problemsolvingand interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience supporting other markets including Canada and/or Latin America preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day support and legal advice and counsel to internal clients on a wide range of employment law matters
  • Provide advice in relation to discipline and terminations, leaves and accommodations, policy-related questions, and state and federal laws, including keeping apprised of latest legal developments.
  • Draft employment agreements, separation agreements, and other related documents. Manage outside counsel on employment litigation matters and administrative charges
  • Build strong relationships and serve as a strategic partner to the business,providing practical advice to mitigate risk.
