Applied Materials, Inc. is the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world. Applied has an exciting opportunity to join a world-class Global Employment Law team. This attorney will provide proactive, practical legal advice and counsel to managers and human resources on all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including hiring, investigations, discipline/performance management, and terminations. This attorney will also be responsible for identifying and solving complex problems, including advising on employee mobility issues (e.g. non-solicits, non-competes), intellectual property protection strategies, and broader risk management considerations. The candidate will be expected to have a strong foundation of employment and litigation experience. The selected candidate will also play a critical role in cross-functional coordination and project management between HR, Digital Forensics & Data Security, IT, and business clients. This includes shaping policy, programs, and training on issues related to employment law compliance (manager training, sexual harassment training, etc.), employee mobility, intellectual property, privacy, and data security. This position is onsite (full-time, 5 days) and based in Santa Clara, CA.
