However, frequent travel to our offices in Buckhannon, Clarksburg, Parkersburg, and Morgantown is required for meetings, depositions, and other litigation-related appointments. The qualified candidate can be based anywhere in West Virginia or the Pittsburgh area.

Requirements

• Experience on the plaintiff's side of litigation.
• Experience in deposition, sophisticated discovery, and mediations.
• Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and filing motions and pleadings.
• Strong collaboration skills to develop innovative legal strategies with colleagues.
• Expertise in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable client settlements.
• Ability to provide clear, actionable legal advice to empower client decision-making.
• Previous experience managing a case load.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, ensuring their rights are protected and upheld.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advisories.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies that align with client goals and firm objectives.
• Engage in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable settlements for clients, fostering positive outcomes.
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and developments regularly.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, motion practice, and jury trials in employment-related matters.
• Manage a case load and keep cases moving forward.
