MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Employee Support Specialist- BluePrint to join our Training team! Primary Duties/Responsibilities BluePrint is MERS Goodwill's employee support program designed to help our team members overcome personal and professional barriers, build stability, and achieve their goals, personally and professionally. Our Specialists work on-site with employees across multiple locations, traveling between assigned sites to provide hands-on support where it is needed most.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years' experience in coaching, case management, or workforce development required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications required
  • Valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
  • Must be able to travel within territory (Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Eastern Kansas).
  • Ability to obtain/maintain certifications is required, such as Mental Health First Aid and Financial Health Counselor.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule availability to meet employees during shifts.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work is routinely performed in a variety of work environments and some non-temperature controlled environments.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Connect with new hires within their first week to introduce BluePrint and build rapport.
  • Maintain a consistent presence in employee common areas to foster accessibility and trust.
  • Coordinate availability around employee shifts to ensure flexible, meaningful engagement.
  • Facilitate the Pathways Assessment to identify employee needs, strengths, and opportunities.
  • Utilize the Self-Sufficiency Matrix to assess stability across key life domains and assign a support level.
  • Partner with employees to co-create personalized My BluePrint Plans, identifying actionable short- and long-term goals tied to the employee's current needs.
  • Coach employees using motivational interviewing/strengths-based techniques through topics such as financial planning, transportation, basic tech navigation, career advancement, or life challenges.
  • Support goal setting using SMART principles and maintain accountability check-ins based on assigned support levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal and external resources; guide employees in accessing these supports.
  • Log all interactions, goals, referrals, and time spent in case management system, Click.
  • Monitor and reassess employee progress at regular intervals; adjust plans based on evolving needs.
  • Participate in program evaluation efforts by capturing impact data and contributing to outcome reporting.
  • Coordinate regularly with managers to maintain alignment with staffing schedules and ensure availability during employee shifts.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and program improvement efforts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality protocols, only disclosing information under legally or ethically mandated circumstances.
  • Reinforce employee autonomy and ensure all participation is voluntary.
  • Follow and enforce all MERS/Goodwill policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
