About The Position

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing the employee experience by investigating workplace concerns, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting a positive and productive work environment. This role serves as a liaison between employees, supervisors, and management on night shift operations, helping resolve issues, providing guidance, and supporting HR initiatives. All new hires will complete an initial training period on day shift. Upon completion of training, the role will transition to a full-time night shift schedule.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years HR or employee relations experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently during night shift operations.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving employee concerns, conflicts, and workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Conduct fact-finding and assist with employee investigations under guidance of the Employee Relations Manager.
  • Support supervisors and managers with coaching, corrective actions, and performance management.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies across night shift operations.
  • Educate employees and supervisors on policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all employee relations activities.
  • Serve as the primary HR support for night shift workforce needs.
  • Communicate employee concerns or patterns to HR leadership.
  • Assist with attendance, employee coaching, and shift-related HR issues.
  • Complete structured HR and operations training on day shift.
  • Support night shift onboarding for new employees once training is completed.
  • Assist with creating reports, documenting investigations, and updating employee files.
  • Provide HR-related support during audits and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Safety, Benefits, and other HR functions as needed.
