Supports the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team by managing routine employee relations matters and ensuring consistency in approach across the organization. This includes handling cases such as policy compliance, attendance, performance concerns, and other standard ER issues. The role will guide business leaders on routine disciplinary actions, ensure timely review and approval of documentation, and partner with HRBPs to maintain alignment with company policies and practices. In addition, the Employee Relations Specialist will provide administrative and operational support to the HRBP team, helping streamline processes and maintain accurate documentation. While this position does not serve as a direct HRBP for any business unit, it plays a critical role in supporting the overall HRBP function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business, Psychology or other relevant field of study
  • 6-8 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in HR and or employee relations management required

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI preferred
  • SHRM-CP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee relations issues, including policy compliance, attendance, and performance concerns.
  • Provide guidance to business leaders on standard disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Review and approve routine disciplinary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Partner with HRBPs to ensure consistent application of policies and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of employee relations cases and disciplinary actions in HR systems.
  • Monitor trends in employee relations issues, escalating complex matters to HRBPs as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the HRBP team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining case tracking systems.
  • Assist in training managers on employee relations processes and best practices.
  • Support HRBP team with special projects related to employee relations, compliance, and organizational initiatives.
