Employee Relations Manager This is a Remote position based out of the US. Mission:To resolve workplace issues and conflicts, conduct investigations, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Key responsibilities include developing compliance programs, providing employee and management training, maintaining confidential records, advising management on risk, and collaborating with HR and external legal counsel. This role is vital for fostering a positive, respectful work environment and protecting the organization from legal and regulatory risks. Scope:The Employee Relations and Compliance Manager oversees employee relations issues and drives legal compliance for North America. This role will work closely with local colleagues within all North America departments. The Employee Relations and Compliance Manager reports to Director, Talent Management and may supervise up to 1-2 team members. Role Expectations:

Requirements

  • Expertise in employment law and compliance, ensuring all policies and processes meet legal standards and align with industry standards.
  • Proven success in resolving employee relations incidents, including the ability to complete investigations, document and retain records of all employee issues.
  • Experience with creating, updating, and storing Standard Operating Procedures; Staying up to date on legal and internal changes, and updating policies to stay current at all times.
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing enhancements and solutions.
  • Strong capability in fostering an inclusive company culture that emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion and aligns with the company’s mission and value.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate employee grievances, complaints, and policy violations thoroughly and impartially.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers on compliance and employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance and resources to employees and managers on resolving workplace concerns.
  • Offer recommendations for corrective actions and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with labor laws and company values.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations and communicate updates to management.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify and address compliance issues and risks.
  • Follow up with field employees on compliance reporting adherence, ensuring management is following policy on corrective action.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation of compliance activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on topics like ethics, conflict resolution, and compliance.
  • Advise and provide recommendations to management on potential legal and regulatory risks.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, External Legal Counsel, and other departments to ensure consistent practices.
