We’re rapidly expanding and we need great people to join our team. The Employee Relations Analyst provides support in all areas of employee relations programs. The incumbent in this role is responsible for the administration of approved organization-wide employee relations policies and practices. He/She participates in employee relations audits and reviews and makes recommendations to resolve issues. The Employee Relations analyst may take part in grievance procedures and exit interviews. This incumbent closely partners with the Legal COE to mitigate risk to the company.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to coach management through conflict resolution, performance management, corrective action, progressive discipline and just cause in employment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict resolution practices with the ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations / individuals effectively
  • Demonstrated understanding of employee relations specific concepts and knowledge of employee relations practices and programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Thorough knowledge of confidentially requirements regarding personnel, payroll, and other employment matters, with the ability to exercise judgement and discretion in sensitive and/or confidential issues
  • Ability to prepare concise, persuasive, and grammatically correct written material
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills or ability to conduct analysis and develop innovative, effective solutions and/or recommendations
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Solid inclination to research and resolve complex employee issues
  • Ability to find and accurately document facts and information related to employee performance and conduct

  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field OR additional experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis required
  • A minimum of 2 years’ Human Resources, Employment Law or similar legal work experience required; direct Employee Relations experience strongly preferred

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish or English Creole highly desired
  • Performance Management experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Applies and enforces company employment policies.
  • Facilitates corrective actions and terminations, using conflict resolution training and methods.
  • Collaborates with HR COEs to assist in settling and resolving HR-related issues.
  • Advises, coaches and guides managers on basic disciplinary issues including misconduct, policy or practice violations, corrective actions and terminations.
  • Reviews performance improvement plans (PIPs) and written warnings for accuracy and enforceability.
  • Creating and maintaining a range of metrics to inform and measure employee relations efforts.
  • Assists in developing HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains tools to help standardize processes and scale the employee relations function.
  • Creates presentation materials and provides training and workshops on relevant employee relations topics and recent employment law updates.
  • Provide administrative support to Employee Relations COE.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Researches, develops and recommends solutions to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Serves as the point of contact for all Markets to coordinate the collection and submission of documents that support the company’s position on termination decisions.
  • Coordinates and conducts exit Interviews.
  • Prepares employee letters including resignation acceptance, response, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Legal team to reviews Employment Agreements (EAs) to determine appropriate claw back initiatives.
  • Conducts research on labor laws in various states to ensure compliance as well as, best practices.
  • Collaborates with managers to ensure consistent application of policies, practices and procedures to deliver HR solutions that positively impact the business.
  • Oversees compliance with mandatory federal and state job site postings for all markets.
  • Plans and conducts compliance monitoring reviews, then recommends for remedial action based on findings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.
