About The Position

Christie Clinic's department of Employee Health & Wellness is seeking a full-time Employee Health & Wellness Specialist at the University clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position will require the ability to travel to other locations, as needed, to support the department. Duties include providing care and services that help maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Duties include collecting data for all new hire health screenings and coordinate any follow up care, facilitate treatment for work related injuries and illnesses, assist in tracking regulatory compliance within OSHA guidelines for safety, and promote and create wellness initiatives for the organization wellness program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of healthcare/clinical experience
  • Certified Nurse Assistance Certificate and/or graduation from an accredited program for medical assistants
  • CPR certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous occupational medicine/safety health care experience
  • Knowledge of immunization schedules and administration practices (Note: Employee will be required to complete in-house immunization certification after hire.)

Responsibilities

  • Track and coordinate compliance for all employment vaccinations for new and existing team members and provide immunizations as necessary.
  • Perform and assist in providing annual screenings to include respiratory mask fit testing.
  • Coordinate work-related injuries/illness to include facilitating medical evaluations and treatment, tracking follow-up care, processing payments accordingly, initiating accident investigation, and communicating with third-party vendors about incident, as required.
  • Serve on safety committee and provide support to other committees and projects as needs arise for employee health and safety initiatives.
  • Arrange ergonomic evaluations and equipment for team members, as necessary.
  • Assist in administering the annual flu immunization program to include providing education to team members and results to Safety Committee.
  • Coordinate wellness activities and communication to support the organization’s wellbeing initiatives.
  • Perform related work as required.
