About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Employee Engagement Specialist to lead employee engagement, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives while providing essential administrative support to the HR team. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Compensation and Benefits, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong workplace culture through engagement initiatives while also supporting core HR processes and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in employee engagement, workplace culture, HR support, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Passion for creating a positive workplace culture and improving the employee experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Self-starter with a service-oriented mindset and a willingness to take initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employee engagement and culture initiatives, including employee appreciation events, team-building activities, holiday celebrations, wellness programs, and other initiatives designed to enhance morale and connection.
  • Support recognition programs and initiatives that promote employee satisfaction, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Collect and evaluate employee feedback to help shape and improve engagement strategies and culture-building efforts.
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement strategies that promote an inclusive, engaging, and supportive work environment.
  • Provide administrative support for employee benefit programs, including enrollment, onboarding, and employee education, while maintaining accurate data and coordinating with vendors and payroll for timely updates.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating orientations, and helping ensure smooth employee transitions.
  • Assist with maintaining HRIS data and employee records with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Support leave management, employee status changes, and related documentation as needed.
  • Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and internal HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide general HR administrative support as needed to support department operations and employee needs.
