About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional Employee Engagement & Experience Manager to join our team! The Employee Engagement & Experience Manager will work closely with the HR Leader in the development, implementation, and management of effective human resource strategies, processes and programs, ensuring alignment of an engaged, motivated workforce supporting Goodwill’s strategic objectives and goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PHR or SPHR certification, preferred with minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years progressive HR experience having successfully managed and led a human resource department; preferably with a midsize to large company.
  • A combination of education, experience, and training may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.
  • Must have minimum of five (5) years of experience investigating concerns of egregious misconduct and behavioral issues including sexual harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, and conflicts of interest.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulatory compliance requirements as well as, federal EEO, ADA, and FMLA guidelines and regulations.
  • Must have the ability to think and consult strategically and discreetly with diverse stakeholders, influence business decisions, and play an integral part in the success of the business.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Act as a collaborative partner with leadership to create and implement a positive, team oriented organizational culture that supports Goodwill’s mission of providing employment and training for people with disabilities or other disadvantages, while also attracting, motivating and retaining an outstanding workforce to support this mission.
  • Works across the organization’s structure to build and foster a positive culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top results for the organization.
  • Working across a decentralized, multi-facility organization, provides guidance and counsel to all levels of management, ensuring that the human resource function reflects best practices in the areas of compliance, human resources development, employee engagement, recruitment, benefits, compensation and employee performance.
  • Provides oversight and guidance to HRBPs and leaders regarding the investigation of employee concerns asserted internally and externally.
  • Provides an active role in the daily operations and administration of all human resource functions including employment, recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits, employee relations, engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, human resources and organizational development, talent management, worker’s compensation, and compliance.
  • Responds to and champions employee issues by identifying and implementing best practices to build employee commitment, foster a culture of employee recognition and appreciation, and promote positive employee experiences in the workplace
  • Educates all levels of management on employee relations, performance management, professional development, and effective team building as well as areas of risk mitigation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
