About The Position

Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify leadership development needs and objectives. Conducts annual training and development needs assessments around the training of home managers and company leadership development. Assists the Vice President of Workforce and Development in the development and execution of a comprehensive learning strategy to build leadership skills across the organization. Assist the Vice President of Workforce and Development to execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy, aligning it with the company’s mission, values, and goals, to build team member leadership skills to deliver company objectives and fill talent and performance gaps. Consult with Beacon Specialized Living Services (BSLS) managers and supervisors to assess leadership training needs. Assesses leadership and soft-skills abilities of home managers and works with the Vice President of Workforce and Development to implement training programs to address skill and performance gaps. Proposes training and development programs and objectives for home managers and Beacon leadership. Monitors turnover data to evaluate and measure key performance indicators to translate them into skill gaps and recommend training and development activities for skill gaps. Develops, implements, and delivers training programs for varying levels of individuals within BSLS. Provide training plans for newly hired or promoted leadership positions throughout the organization and assist in the onboarding and training of those individuals. Create engaging and interactive instructional materials that incorporate various media technologies including PowerPoint, Adobe Articulate, and Microsoft programs. Develops and maintains continual education support materials and job aides (Tell Me How’s) to use for reference once training has been completed. Continually evaluates training progress and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and assist teams with curriculum updates. Plans, organizes, facilitates, and orders supplies for employee development and training events. Develops and maintains organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees know training and development events and resources. Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Facilitates training sessions and workshops as needed, providing expert guidance and support to participants. Work with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance, continuously updating and refining training materials to ensure they reflect the latest organizational goals, industry trends, and best practices. Select appropriate training methods and delivery formats, such as workshops, online courses, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training. Partner with internal subject matter experts, operations leadership, and the learning and development creative team to develop high-quality training content and resources. Utilize learning management systems to deliver and track training. Exemplifies the desires culture and philosophies of the organization. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff. Conducts follow-up interviews and assessments with all new Home Managers for analysis of training efforts and recommends any necessary improvements to training. Creates and monitors training plans for new home managers. Stay current with instructional design and leadership development advancements to bring innovative approaches to the organization. Provide 1:1 leadership development to home managers in their home environment as needed. Assists the Vice President of Workforce and Development and the Mergers and Acquisitions team in training and integrating new leaders to Beacon programs and systems. Provides leadership workshops annually on key topics as directed by the Vice President or Workforce and Development. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Training experience in leadership development.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, leadership competencies, and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience using Adobe Articulate or other e-learning authoring and development tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have experience in operations CTM or PD with preferred experience in training others.
  • Must live in MO and willing to travel to regions.
