About The Role: Arbor Homes is looking for an Employee Development and Engagement Coordinator at our corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to organize details, communicate well and model company culture. Your goal will be to provide administrative support to ensure that employees are receiving the appropriate training to grow their leadership skills and overall personal development to further their career. The position will also be providing support for employee engagement/satisfaction through the planning of intercompany events, department events and cross department events on a regular basis. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have ability to prioritize tasks completing multiple tasks in a timely manner, be flexible and welcoming change, and be self-motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect with a diverse group of individuals
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Eager to promote and embody company culture
  • Some travel may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in engagement, training and/or event planning a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the Arbor Homes LEADership Academy and any other development programs across all business units and locations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Arbor and external vendors to schedule regular trainings.
  • Ensure that the trainee and participants are provided with materials and resources needed for trainings and classes.
  • Communicate training dates to department leaders and assemble class rosters.
  • Send participants and managers meeting invitations for trainings/kick-off calls.
  • Send reminders to participants and managers as needed to complete any pre/post program material.
  • Coordinate catering needs for onsite trainings.
  • Reserve meeting rooms as needed for onsite trainings.
  • Facilitate and prepare for all graduation celebrations for each training program.
  • Create and send communication to training participants ensuring they are informed of the schedule and any other pertinent details.
  • Assist the ongoing development of Arbor Homes LEADership Academy alumni by keeping a running record of past and upcoming meetings by group.
  • Support employee engagement through planning of company events across all business units and locations.
  • Create, communicate and facilitate the planning of department-specific, interdepartmental, and all company events/activities.
  • Gather, write and publish a quarterly newsletter that highlights accomplishments (individual and company) and company initiatives and upcoming events.
  • Manage incentive program for rewarding employees as they reach milestones which require recognizing, ordering, and delivering of gifts to recipients.
  • Facilitate and analyze semi-annual company-wide engagement survey
  • Direct company wide volunteer community service program by organizing various volunteer events in all markets and maintaining a line of sight on participation and utilization of hours.
