A Financial Analyst (FA) assists the Financial Consultant (FC) and Financial Consultant Manager (FCM) in the day-to-day needs of the business. Typical functions include but are not limited to: gathering and preparing Claim Reporting, IBNR’s. Preparing spreadsheets to display and communicate fully Insured pre-renewal projections, and plan designs change request. The FA is responsible for tracking project request, and vetting project submissions for accuracy. The job of the FA is to use technical expertise to build spreadsheets and adjust current templates for the EBFC department to allow them to provide more consulting to the benefit consultant team.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Math or Finance or technical degree preferred
  • Knowledge of employee benefits
  • Familiar with HRA/HSA’s as well as Self-Funded, Fully-Insured funding
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong math, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates multi-tasking ability
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized and have the ability to manage a high volume workload
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Preparing/tracking of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting (Claim Reporting, IBNR’s) on selected book of business
  • Communicating with the Benefit Consultant team regarding outstanding data needed based on submission received and TAT expected
  • Track all necessary carrier portal information (Log in and password) for report gathering to produce reporting
  • Maintaining clear communication in team meetings with EBFC team
  • Manage Book of Business template
  • Manage Project Request Tracking template
  • Use technical skills as needed to prepare excel templates and reporting for EBFC team.
