About The Position

Our client is seeking to add an Employee Benefits Account Executive to their team. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of employee benefits clients, serving as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact. The role focuses on client relationship management, benefits strategy, renewals, and collaboration with internal teams and carrier partners. This position offers the ability to work fully remote.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, account management, or brokerage environment.
  • Strong knowledge of group health and employee benefit products, including fully insured and self-funded plans.
  • Experience leading client meetings, renewal presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex benefit concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Life & Health insurance license required (or ability to obtain).
  • Highly organized, client-focused, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management/benefits administration systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client relationship manager for a book of employee benefits accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to employers.
  • Lead annual renewal strategy, including market analysis, plan design recommendations, cost containment strategies, and carrier negotiations.
  • Partner with producers, account managers, and internal service teams to deliver high-quality client service and ensure smooth day-to-day account management.
  • Present benefit program recommendations, renewal outcomes, and compliance updates to clients in a clear and consultative manner.
  • Provide strategic guidance on medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and ancillary products.
  • Collaborate with carrier partners and vendors to resolve issues, negotiate terms, and implement benefit solutions.
  • Support new business initiatives by participating in finalist meetings, proposal development, and onboarding of new clients.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements impacting employee benefit programs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and communication across all client interactions.
