Overview A Emissions Technician I is responsible for a ssuring safe and environmentally compliant operations of all company owned or rental compressors, gas driven generators, and VRUs Training to support that all shutdowns and safety devices are in place and functional. Supporting the preparation, installation, and startup of new emissions control equipment and a ssisting lease operators and production foremen with related issues. Responsibilities Conducting OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) Surveys using an infrared FLIR Camera to detect leaks. Conducting AVO (audio, visual, olfactory) Surveys to ensure proper operation of equipment. Executing inspections with general understanding of normal operating conditions and inspecting with integrity. Properly utilizing different applications for planning, tracking, and recording information. Taking ownership of assigned workload while diligently working within timelines. Assuring safe and environmentally compliant operations of all company owned or rental compressors, gas driven generators, and VRUs. Supporting the preparation, installation, and startup of new emissions control equipment. Qualifications Entry level, typically 0-3 years of experience. High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical or Environmental degree preferred. Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support. General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department. Performs routine tasks. Able to solve problems and make basic decisions. High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree or Technical training preferred. Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty. Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices Must live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform physical tasks (walking, bending, stooping), and lift up to 60 pounds. Able to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, and respond to visual and audible alarms.
