About The Position

The EMG Technician performs electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing under physician supervision. This role requires travel between clinic locations in Conroe and Clear Lake , providing high-quality diagnostic testing while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with clinical standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
Minimum 1–2 years of EMG/NCV experience preferred .
Ability to travel between clinic sites.
Strong technical and clinical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

Experience in neurology or electrodiagnostic testing.
R. NCS.T. or equivalent certification preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform EMG and NCV studies under neurologist supervision.
Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and compassionately.
Assist physicians during EMG procedures.
Ensure proper electrode placement and signal quality.
Maintain and calibrate EMG equipment.
Provide reassurance and education to patients before, during, and after procedures.
Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout testing.
Document procedures and findings accurately in the EHR.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic protocols.
Follow infection control and safety standards.
Travel between Conroe and Clear Lake clinics as assigned.
Maintain punctuality and schedule adherence.
