About The Position

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. Position Purpose: This role supports healthcare innovation scouting, AI enabled strategy development, and executive decision support across emerging technology initiatives. Core responsibilities and day to day work include: Conducting structured market and technology research across digital health, AI, health services, and care delivery models to inform leadership decisions Supporting opportunity assessment by building concise problem statements, value hypotheses, and early business cases for new healthcare and AI initiatives Analyzing healthcare operations, cost drivers, and policy implications to support cost reduction and value creation efforts Developing executive ready materials including strategy briefs, prioritization frameworks, and point of view narratives for senior leaders and steering committees Partnering with internal stakeholders across technology, operations, and clinical aligned teams to gather inputs and translate them into clear insights Using Copilot and AI assisted tools to accelerate research synthesis, scenario analysis, and content development while maintaining analytical rigor Tracking innovation initiatives, pilots, and experiments, helping the team monitor outcomes, risks, and learnings Supporting external scanning of startups, vendors, and partners aligned to emerging technology and healthcare transformation themes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed.
• Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Conducting structured market and technology research across digital health, AI, health services, and care delivery models to inform leadership decisions
• Supporting opportunity assessment by building concise problem statements, value hypotheses, and early business cases for new healthcare and AI initiatives
