2026 - Emerging Talent Program - Community Impact
About The Position
The Emerging Talent Program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders in professional sports. Our mission is to attract top, early-career talent and provide meaningful, hands-on experience within the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. Participants do more than observe; they contribute. Interns gain real-world experience, insider access, and a comprehensive understanding of how a professional football organization operates. The program is intentionally structured to help participants build upon their academic foundation while defining clear, career-focused goals. Each intern is placed within a specific department while also being encouraged to explore the broader business of football through networking opportunities, a Capstone Project, and our Internship Learning Series. Throughout the program, interns collaborate with team executives and build professional relationships that extend well beyond their internship experience. This is a paid, hourly internship running from July 13, 2026, through June 25, 2027.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- This individual must possess a passion for philanthropy and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to a variety of programs.
- Ability to interact and maintain relationships with key leaders in the Tampa Bay community
- Applicants must exhibit strong knowledge of the community outreach efforts of the Buccaneers and the National Football League
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Strong professional demeanor
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or comparable tools
- Extended evening, weekend work hours sometimes required
- Must be comfortable working in a high intensity setting, meeting tight deadlines and delivering quality results
- Required to work all home and some away games
- Computer and desk work a significant part of daily activities
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the sports industry preferred
Responsibilities
- Managing tracking and fulfillment of in-kind donation requests
- Executing CI events, and other non-profit-related and community events/visits
- Support for Affinity Group engagement and assisting with players’ charitable endeavors
