About The Position

The Emerging Talent Program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders in professional sports. Our mission is to attract top, early-career talent and provide meaningful, hands-on experience within the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. Participants do more than observe; they contribute. Interns gain real-world experience, insider access, and a comprehensive understanding of how a professional football organization operates. The program is intentionally structured to help participants build upon their academic foundation while defining clear, career-focused goals. Each intern is placed within a specific department while also being encouraged to explore the broader business of football through networking opportunities, a Capstone Project, and our Internship Learning Series. Throughout the program, interns collaborate with team executives and build professional relationships that extend well beyond their internship experience. This is a paid, hourly internship running from July 13, 2026, through June 25, 2027.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Strong professional demeanor
  • Strong initiative and drive
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or comparable tools
  • Skilled in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Experience using collaboration platforms such as Teams, Zoom, or similar
  • In-depth experience with Excel is important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of procurement & inventory management (monitoring supply levels, placing orders, receiving and stocking supplies)
  • Involved in pricing agreement discussions
  • Distributing and tracking department invoices including processing of invoices when necessary.
  • Act as vendor liaison to assist in sourcing products & services whilst negotiating contracts/trades and pricing - excellent opportunity to interact with all departments and understand their inner workings.
  • Other areas of training include the quote and bid process, purchase order procedures, monitoring and maintaining business operations supplies, contract agreements, and the procurement and tracking of merchandise.
