About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Project Architect III to join our Columbus, Ohio office . This role is ideal for an architect who is continuing to build their technical and design skills and is excited to work in a collaborative, studio-based environment. You will work alongside experienced architects, designers, and engineers on a variety of projects, supporting the team through design, documentation, and construction phases. This position offers hands-on project experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within AECOM’s architecture practice. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Develop design concepts for the design lead and client review. Prepare design and contract drawings using Revit and modeling/ graphics software. Coordinate design efforts and deliverables of design consultants and project team Assist with the management and mentoring of less-experienced project team members.

Requirements

  • A background in architectural design with growing technical skills
  • Experience working in Revit and producing construction documents
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Interest in working on a variety of project types and scales
  • Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Licensed as a registered architect or proven steps towards licensure, preferably in Ohio
  • Knowledge of buildings systems and material.
  • Proficient in Revit with 3D modeling skills in Sketchup and/or Rhino.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams through all phases of design and documentation
  • Assist with developing drawings, models, and presentations
  • Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines under the guidance of senior staff
  • Help incorporate design ideas and technical requirements into project deliverables
  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and client presentations
  • Develop design concepts for the design lead and client review.
