About The Position

Edward Rose & Sons, established in 1921, is a privately held real estate development and management company specializing in apartment and senior living communities. The company is seeking an Emerging Leaders Intern to learn the business of property management and development. This internship offers a broad foundation for success as a property manager, featuring an immersive onsite learning experience that includes sales training and leasing opportunities as a fully integrated team member. Interns will also observe and participate in operations activities covering financial, marketing, and maintenance elements. The program aims to develop skills in sales, management, and marketing, with interns presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership. This opportunity is ideal for college students majoring in residential property management, real estate, or related fields, and is designed to take place during the intern's summer break, aligning with their school schedule.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Residential Property Management, Real Estate, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy is required
• Must be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Junior, Senior or Graduate student status is preferred
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale is preferred

Responsibilities

• Learn sales and customer service processes through mentoring, job-shadowing, independent study, online learning, classroom training, and experiential learning
• Potentially participate in additional rotations and experiences in maintenance, finance, risk management, marketing, and management/leadership after acclimating to the sales environment
• Complete compensated assignments designed to bridge academic content with practical experiences, which may align with university requirements for internship academic credit
