About The Position

Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs (AEC Sandy Springs), part of Innovetive Petcare , is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (LVT preferred) to join our overnight Emergency & Critical Care team . This is a hands-on, technical ER role for professionals who thrive under pressure and deliver patient care with urgency, precision, and compassion .

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred (or eligible in Georgia)
• VTNE completed + AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred
• 2–5+ years of ER, ICU, surgery, or specialty experience
• Highly skilled non-credentialed technicians will be considered with strong ER competency
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in high-acuity settings

Responsibilities

• Perform ER triage and rapid patient assessment
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, and administer fluids, CRIs, and medications
• Monitor anesthesia (including high-risk cases) and recovery
• Provide ICU-level nursing care for critical patients
• Assist in emergency surgery and procedures
• Run diagnostics: radiographs, in-house labs, cytology
• Maintain accurate medical records and support team communication
