Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine
  • Currently working toward your Veterinary Technician license
  • Solid understanding of animal restraint and patient handling
  • Knowledge of proper hygiene, sanitation, and aseptic handling
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in vet med

Responsibilities

  • Be directly involved in patient care from triage through treatment
  • Work alongside experienced technicians and doctors who teach, mentor, and support
  • Build the clinical foundation needed to confidently step into a licensed technician role
  • Be part of a team that values collaboration, respect, and showing up for each other
  • Safely restrain patients during exams and procedures
  • Provide basic animal husbandry for hospitalized patients
  • Assist with record keeping and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Perform nail trims and suture/staple removal
  • Support the clinical team in delivering efficient, high-quality emergency care
