About The Position

Emergency Technician in our Emergency Department at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 12-hours Night shifts. The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service. Requirements

• Certification as an EMT, OR completion of an accredited EMT course, OR Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD)
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Coursework/Training: Basis EKG course
• Coursework/Training: California Emergency Medical Technician License, Or Coursework/Training: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, Or Coursework/Training: California Paramedic License
• Emergency Medical Technician License, Or Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, Or Paramedic License Upon hire
• 1 year EMT experience
• 1 year Emergency Department experience
