The Department of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) provides comprehensive programs and services to support healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible practices for our world class faculty, staff, students and university community. EHS assists the campus community with compliance and promotes health, safety, and environmental stewardship. With general supervision from the Emergency Services Supervisor and Manager of Fire Protection and Emergency Services, the Emergency Services team provides emergency response to the University community. The emergency service program provides 24/7 coverage. This position provides inspection of AEDs, sprinkler valves, as well as conducting fire drills and shutdowns. Subject to shift changes and extended working hours (including nights, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays) to meet business needs. This is an endowed, union position within the Teamsters Local 317. The starting pay rate is $27.59/hour.
