About The Position
The Henry Ford Health Sterling Heights Emergency Department is a 15-bed free-standing facility. Our staff has a close working relationship. The physicians, nurses, and technicians are all centrally located for ease of collaboration and communication, which leads to a positive work environment. While a small ED, we are fast paced and work well together. We are looking for candidates to join our team. GENERAL SUMMARY: Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Previous Emergency Dept Technician, MA or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
- BCLS certification required.
- One of four certifications required: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program to practice as an RN offshore, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program to practice as a medical doctor offshore.
- Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required.
Nice To Haves
- EMT license preferred.
