About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a permanent opportunity in Palatka, Florida. The Emergency Room RN consistently delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage acute and emergent patient needs while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for.
  • Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care Emergency Room RN experience required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of employment start.
  • Candidates with 3+ years RN experience and compact license may be considered (Florida license still required).
  • Candidates with less than 3 years of RN experience must pass the NCLEX in Florida prior to consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care in every encounter.
  • Establish a supportive and empathetic environment for patients, families, and visitors.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, symptoms, and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient responses.
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient condition, response, and provider orders.
  • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to evaluate patient conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Ensure continuity of care through thorough documentation and communication.
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, admissions, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain equipment functionality and safety standards.
  • Delegate and supervise support personnel as appropriate.
