About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join a fast-paced acute care emergency department in Tallahassee, Florida. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority cases simultaneously. The ER RN provides care to patients across the lifespan, ranging from minor injuries to critical emergencies.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ER experience (critical care experience accepted).
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• BLS certification prior to start date.
• ACLS certification (Within 90 Days of Hire)
• PALS certification (Within 90 Days of Hire)
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) (Within 90 Days of Hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment of patients of all ages.
• Prioritize care for multiple patients in a dynamic emergency environment.
• Initiate and implement individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and emergency interventions as ordered.
• Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary departments, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide discharge instructions and coordinate appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Promote patient safety and adherence to clinical standards.
