REGISTERED NURSE EMERGENCY ROOM ER RN NOCS
About The Position
Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center (SCHHC) has a full-time night shift opening for an RN in the Emergency Room Department. The ER RN provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with a minimum of supervision. Able to triage every patient that enters the emergency care system safely, rapidly, and accurately. This position can perform a Nursing Assessment following department policy and procedure. The ER RN determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. The ER RN communicates with the Emergency Room Provider about changes in the patient’s status, symptoms, and results of diagnostic studies. The ER RN can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or responses to treatment. The Emergency Room Department RN reports to the Emergency Room Department Nurse Manager SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OPPORTUNITY, UP TO $10,000, IS AVAILABLE
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current licensure in Oregon as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
- At least one year Med/Surg nursing experience is required.
- At least one-year Emergency nursing experience is desired.
Nice To Haves
- TEAM or TNCC certification preferred.
- CEN certification desired.
