About The Position

This opportunity is within a 222-bed acute care hospital featuring a full-service Emergency Department that manages a broad range of patient acuity—from minor injuries to critical emergencies. The ER RN will function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• Accepted backgrounds: Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, or ER
• Active Florida RN license or compact multistate license
• Compact license holders must obtain FL license within 60 days if relocating
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree
• Required certifications (timelines below):
• BLS: within 30 days
• ACLS: within 90 days
• PALS: within 90 days
• ENPC: within 6 months
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention: within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat ER patients of all ages
• Manage multiple patients simultaneously and prioritize care based on acuity
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Coordinate care with physicians and hospital departments
• Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and referrals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical standards
