About The Position

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Active Virginia RN license or multi-state compact RN license eligible for practice in VA
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Room or acute care setting preferred

Nice To Haves

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program (Preferred)
• Med-Surg nurses may be considered for cross-training (Nights shift only)

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages
• Manage multiple patients simultaneously and prioritize care by acuity
• Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered emergency care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams for follow-up planning
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner per organizational standards
• Coordinate care across departments while ensuring patient safety
