About The Position

The Emergency Roadside Specialist supports drivers on the road during breakdowns, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. This role involves providing support and information to drivers and contractors for maintenance emergencies using various communication channels. The specialist coordinates with schedulers for equipment routing and preventive maintenance, monitors repair progress, and performs invoice and Comdata check reconciliation. They also inform operations daily of equipment status, negotiate repair and labor costs with vendors, and work with drivers and operations to identify areas for improvement. The position requires ensuring quality and productivity goals are met and assisting safety and operations during emergencies and accidents. Maintaining up-to-date training, SOPs, guidelines, resources, and vendor lists is also part of the role.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year of relevant experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows
Ability to learn and use propriety software
Leads with integrity
Strong and impactful communication skills; verbal and written
Strong ability to multitask
Strong personal accountability

Responsibilities

Provide support and information to drivers and contractors maintenance emergencies utilizing phone, mobile messaging, email, etc.
Coordinate with scheduler to ensure equipment is routed and scheduled in the shop for preventive maintenance and repairs.
Monitor the progress of repairs and make updates as needed.
Support other ERS team as needed.
Perform invoice & Comdata check reconciliation when requested by manager.
Closing TMT transactions.
Inform WEL Operations daily of equipment and location status.
Negotiate repair and labor costs with vendors.
Work with drivers and operations to establish areas of improvement and contribute to team efforts and goals.
Ensure quality and productivity goals are met.
Assist safety and operations during emergencies and/or accidents.
Maintain up-to-date training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, resources, vendor lists, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
