Requirements
- Four (4) years of related or combined experience in one or more of the following: Law Enforcement Officer, Military Police Officer, Operator on a Military Special Operations team specializing in counter-terrorism or dignitary protection, Special/Security Police Officer (SPO)
- Graduated from an accredited US federal (to include DOE, DOD), state, or local, law enforcement academy
- Ability to pass both a firearms qualification and physical agility test
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high-visibility, uniformed, or covert presence
- Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
- Identify and respond to emergency situations, including: In-progress acts of violence, Crisis situations, Weapons or explosive incidents, Natural disasters, and Other threats to life and property
- In emergencies: Secure the scene to prevent further loss or damage
- Advise personnel of current or potential threats
- Call emergency responders
- Start and lead evacuation procedures
- Moving quickly from one location to another
- Carrying or moving an injured person
- Physically engaging with individuals posing threats
- Accurately handling and firing a weapon
- Regular certification in legal updates, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR, and more training must be completed and passed as a condition of continued employment
