You will play a key part in the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our emergency response plans, processes and playbooks. This includes incident response processes, critical asset response plans, reasonable worst case scenario plans. Along with organisation risk-based plans, we have two key legislations that direct us. The Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) and the Civil Contingencies Act, so this role provides a unique opportunity to understand how we transfer this legislation into our operating processes and response plans at both company and industry level The team work with external agencies and regulators to plan for and respond to water industry and community risks and incidents, e.g. Defra, Water UK, DWI, LRF’s, so this gives a great opportunity to learn about broader community and national Emergency Planning, by working with these key stakeholders We’d love someone to join us that can bring their emergency planning experience and a new view to our current processes, confident to suggest and lead on changes, as the team are always self-driven to continually develop and improve.
