About The Position
Hospital located in Dothan, AL is seeking a Physician for our Emergency Medicine Program: Setting: Level II Trauma Center. 28-bed ED, with specialized treatment rooms for major trauma & resuscitation. High acuity. There is a fast track staffed with mid-level providers, zone model. Schedule: 14 shifts per month, There is also a dedicated Nocturnist schedule option. Hours: These 9-10 hour shifts, plus possible evening/night shifts (for nocturnist schedule). Patient Volume: Annual ED visits are ≈ 60,000 . That averages to 150-200 patients/day
Requirements
- Must be residency trained in EM, board-certified or board-eligible (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Licensure (able to obtain / maintain licensure in Alabama)
- Ability to work in a high acuity trauma center, collaborate with APPs, RNs, work in zones, possibly teach / supervise
