Pleasant, MI Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Jan 31, 2026 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical only Shifts needed to be filled: - 8p -8a: Jan 31 to Feb 1 Shift Schedule: 8a -8p & 8p -8a - 7 days Patient Volume per day: 54 Annual ER Volume: 20,000 Total IP admissions received from ED: 90% % of ED patients admitted to the hospital: 8 per day % of ED patients transferred: 2 per day Physicians in Practice: 5 (4 FT & 1 PRN) Mid -levels in Practice: 3 (1 FT & 2 PRNs) Support Staff: 1 FT & 2 PRNs (APPs); Midlevel shift is 11a -9p 7 days. Required to Supervise APPs: Yes Specialty Backup: Hospitalist, Anesthesiology, Cardiology 24 -hr Support Services: - Radiology (no MRI), CT, XR, Lab, Ortho, Pathology & OR. Duties: - Responds to house codes. - Monitors/Supervises paramedics/ambulance by radio Beds in the Dept: 18 Trauma Level: IV EMR: Cerner Other Info: - Not a Fast track in ED - Hospitalist handles admissions mostly, responds and runs the codes; Anesthesia available for backup during the day - L&D has a clinic - Cardiologist does official EKG Interpretations Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

• Active MI License
• BC in EM (or FP with 2+ yrs ER experience)
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS/ATLS/PALS (for non -EM boarded)
• Clean record
• Local candidate
• COVID & Flu Vaccine (and other Immunizations)

Responsibilities
