About The Position

This position may be eligible for a recruitment bonus. Please note that the Rice Lake Ambulance team has an onsite station dog. JOB SUMMARY The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT - Advanced), Critical Care Transport assumes responsibility for individual professional actions and judgments, during both independent and dependent emergency functions. This individual functions independently while applying the skills of the certified EMT in an ambulance setting. The Critical care level based on training and under the supervision of the critical care team. Advanced EMT skills in the ambulance setting are under the direction of a physician. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for the training of Emergency Medical Technician EMTs.
  • Current Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician (EMT - Advanced) license, with renewal as dictated by State of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency. Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to MCHS's insurer.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) within two years of hire.
  • Current Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license, with renewal as dictated by State of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic or Advanced EMT licensure.
  • Minimum three months 911 level EMS operations
  • Advanced EMT licensure.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) at the time of hire.
