Midwood EMS is seeking new and experienced EMTs with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work from our Bronx Base located in Westchester Square. Requirements

Valid New York State EMT-Basic certification required
New York State Driver’s License preferred
Any and all other requirements for the position as determined by the New York State Department of Health or other regulating agency or statute.
Employment is contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug test
EMS agencies in NYS are required by law (Executive Law Section 837-s) to check applicants (who may be involved in the care or transportation of patients) personally identifying information against the Sex Offender Registry and make a determination of eligibility to become a member/employee pursuant to Correction Law Article 23-A

Responsibilities

Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) in compliance with city, state, and organizational procedures
Be helpful, friendly, and professional throughout all interactions with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
Maintain a clean and fully stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements, restocking supplies at the end of each shift
