About The Position

As an Emergency Housing Program Coordinator, you will lead daily operations of a housing program serving veterans experiencing homelessness, oversee staff, and ensure high-quality case management, housing placement, and supportive services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in social services, housing programs, or case management
  • Strong knowledge of homeless services, housing programs, and client care coordination
  • Experience with HMIS, data tracking, and program reporting
  • Ability to manage staff, operations, and compliance in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • LCSW, LMFT, or behavioral health background
  • Experience working with veterans, homelessness, mental health, or substance use populations
  • Familiarity with HUD-VASH, VA programs, or grant-funded services

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise case managers, counselors, and program staff supporting veterans in emergency housing
  • Oversee delivery of case management, housing navigation, mental health support, and supportive services
  • Coordinate with VA partners and community organizations to ensure seamless care and housing placement
  • Manage program operations, compliance, and documentation in alignment with HUD, VA, and grant requirements
  • Oversee HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) data entry, reporting, and program metrics
  • Conduct intakes and assessments, identifying needs related to housing, employment, mental health, substance use, and stability
  • Support veterans in developing and achieving Individual Housing & Employment Plans (IHEP)
  • Monitor client progress and ensure successful transitions to permanent housing
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on program outcomes
  • Facilitate team meetings, trainings, and performance management for staff
  • Ensure accurate case files, discharge planning, and program compliance
  • Manage program budgets, petty cash, and administrative tasks (timesheets, approvals)
