As an Emergency Department Technician in the Adult Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center (BMC), you will be a key member of the healthcare team. Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, you will provide direct clinical and support services. Utilizing a patient-centered care model and supported by a strong nursing organization, you will participate in delivering care to patients and their families. You will also collaborate with all healthcare team members to provide various support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs. BMC's Emergency Department is the largest and busiest provider of trauma and emergency services in New England, serving over 130,000 patients annually with 24/7 cutting-edge, comprehensive, team-based emergency medical care. The team includes emergency medicine attending physicians and residents, advanced practice providers, emergency nurses, mental health specialists, social workers, and case managers, alongside a specialized pediatric emergency department.
