• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
• Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, a high degree of customer service and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. Must be able to work with minimal direction, able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action as required.
• Six (6) months patient care experience required if no prior completion of patient care training.
• Phlebotomy competencies required within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
• Assist with transporting patients, as needed.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
