About The Position

To produce embroidery orders according to specifications furnished on the order. Essential Functions: Perform daily maintenance duties and notify shift Supervisor when duties are completed. Determine if embroidery defects can be repaired at the operator’s machine. All repairs must be completed before operator leaves for the day. Complete daily production records and return to the shift Supervisor. Notify the shift Supervisor or Maintenance personnel of any equipment malfunctions or suspected malfunctions. Maintain safe working conditions in the production area. Notify shift Supervisor of any unsafe working conditions Keep machine area neat and organized for an efficient, attractive and safe work area Other duties as requested. Watch first sample run to make sure that the following information is correct: Color sequence Placement Correct backing Correct thread colors Any special instructions on the order (i.e.; trim between letters, special placement, jump set-up, etc.) Anticipate requirements of the next orders at all machines. The following steps need to be taken for the up coming orders: Set-up hooping station Stage thread at the machine and tie what thread can be put on the machine before the machine completes the current order. Prepare the machine work area (i.e.; get hoops, backing, sticky paper, etc.) Check the order to see if any questions need to be answered before setting up the order. Notify shift Supervisor if any of the following production materials are getting low or are out of stock: Backing Thread Needles

Requirements

  • Must have good organization skills, able to work at a fast pace and pay particular attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work closely with other people.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be punctual, dependable and have a positive work attitude.
  • Some sitting, standing, walking, lifting (over 75 lbs.), bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Must possess basic computer and math skills.
