About The Position

As an embroidery finishing team lead, you make the 4imprint brand come alive by leading and directing the embroidery finishing department in order flow and prioritization for on-time delivery of our products to our customers. Here’s what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

  • Someone who can communicate effectively as well as work independently and as a team player.

  • Fluent with computers, alphanumeric data and working with small objects (i.e. threading needles).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Prior experience with quality control.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with others (verbally and in writing).
  • Work will be performed at 4imprint, Oshkosh.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily with the manager/supervisor to assess workload, priorities, staffing needs, and progress toward goals.
  • Train new and temporary employees, document process changes, and support onboarding and development plans.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical or workflow questions and temporarily fill in for the manager when needed.
  • Lead assigned projects and participate in process/quality audits to support continuous improvement.
  • Help communicate schedules, assignments, expectations, and feedback to team members.
  • Address team concerns, promote a respectful and collaborative culture, and recognize positive performance.
  • Prioritize and assign orders to meet in‑hand dates, verify shipping methods, and communicate issues or resolutions with customer service.
  • Monitor and document production capacity and partner with the supervisor to ensure quality standards for embroidery, garments, and packaging.
  • Remove embroidery backing, trim excess threads, and complete final quality inspections.
  • Sort garments/items by color and prepare them for the next processing step.
  • Fold, tag, bag, and package products according to work order instructions.
  • Prepare orders for shipping, including completing paperwork and box labels.
  • Support operators by unpacking, staging products, and assisting with machine setup.
  • Serve as backup for embroidery machine operators when needed.
  • Participate in training, seek development opportunities, and assist other areas when time allows.
