As our Email Orchestration Intern, you will… Master the art of direct-to-consumer engagement and help orchestrate the most personal touchpoints in the marketing funnel. As our Email & SMS Intern, you’ll dive into the world of lifecycle marketing and automation, learning how messages are strategically timed, triggered, and optimized across the customer journey. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative, strategy, and technology teams to support high-performing email and SMS programs that land directly in the hands of our audience.. What you'll experience: Deep Expertise & Broad Exposure: While embedded within a specific department for hands-on, meaningful work, you will also gain broad exposure across the entire agency. This allows you to develop deep functional skills while building a holistic understanding of our service offerings. Defining Your Passion: Explore diverse work across the agency to identify your professional passions within the dynamic fields of technology and marketing. Core Summer Project: Through your learnings, you and your fellow interns will collaborate on a central project: creating engaging, authentic content that showcases MERGE culture, our innovative work, and our people.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and working towards an undergraduate (rising junior or rising senior) or recent graduate from an accredited college/university who wants to gain experience from an Advertising Agency and bring great experiences to life for people and businesses
  • Basic knowledge of e-commerce or retail marketing
  • Basic understanding of email, SMS, and/or CRM marketing principles
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in basic analytical tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • A genuine eagerness to learn and grow
  • You must be eligible to work in the United States to be considered for this role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with audience segmentation, personalization approaches, and channel orchestration decisions
  • Extract data from platforms like Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Attentive to create insightful reports across key engagement and conversion metrics
  • Compile performance reports and contribute insights for internal readouts that are ultimately shared with clients
  • Assist in building client-facing decks, collaborating with strategists to showcase campaign results and strategies
  • Learn and apply email and SMS marketing best practices, contributing to the development of our internal knowledge base
  • Gain exposure to lifecycle strategy by supporting email and SMS campaigns across customer journeys, including testing, performance analysis, and optimization opportunities
