About The Position

The Email Marketing Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining HTML email files, templates, and email marketing automation efforts that support multi-channel marketing campaigns for business and life & health insurance products for internal and external clients. This position will work closely with a copywriter, designer, data analyst, strategist, and production team member to successfully conceptualize, create, develop, execute, track, analyze, and report the efficacy of all marketing efforts related to email marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, advertising, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HTML/CSS coding.
  • 3+ years with multi-channel marketing campaigns; Insurance marketing exposure is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface effectively at all levels within an organization (both with technical and non-technical positions).
  • Ability to help train/influence/motivate team members with new processes and technology.
  • Have at least a working knowledge of languages such as the following: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Insurance marketing exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create, test, and deploy custom HTML emails for various internal and external clients.
  • Utilize our Marketing Automation platform to maintain drafts, sent emails, automated email programs, and manage A/B email test campaigns.
  • Monitor email performance analytics such as deliverability, opens, clicks, click-through rate, etc.; ensure proper tracking is applied and utilize Digital Marketing systems to attribute results to pertaining campaigns.
  • Work as a team inside a full marketing department to create multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Research industry standards within the email marketing community and share best practices/techniques with the department.
  • Collaborate with copywriters and graphic designers to create optimized email design layouts (mock-ups) focused on conversions.
  • Assist various internal teams and departments with proper setup and maintenance of email sender technical requirements such as the From Address, DKIM, and SPF records for all clients.
  • Maintain documentation and tutorials for relative projects.
  • Collaborate on projects and assist with training and knowledge transfer within the Marketing, IT, and other internal departments.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards are utilized across all Pearl and client emails.
  • Respond to coworker and/or client requests as needed by phone or email.
  • Track project activity and progress including time tracking through marketing project management software.
