Our Engineering team is accelerating Carrier’s sustainability initiatives to reach Net Zero through investments and research in technologies and methods that will shape the future of our products and services. As an Engineering Leadership Program Associate on the Product Sustainability Engineering Team , you will help drive the implementation of sustainability in Carrier’s Long-Range Pla n , promote design for sustainability in our new product development program and support the development of business case s for green products and services .

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Chemical Engineering , Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Applicant must be US Citizen and able to work in the US without sponsorship
  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
  • Must be geographically mobile

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or similar Sustainability field
  • 3.2 or higher GPA p referred
  • Relevant coursework or previous internships /co-ops are preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration products
  • Sustainability mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to solve challenging and complex problems
  • Knowledgeable in LCA/environmental audit tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and proactive

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business unit product engineering, management, and supply chain teams to identify data sources for Life Cycle Assessment s and Product Chemical Compliance .
  • Analyze the energy use and carbon footprint of Carrier’s HVAC&R systems to guide decisions in alignment with our Science Based Target Initiative to Net Zero carbon emission s.
  • Data visualizations and written reports to communicate analyses to various stakeholders.
  • Create sustainability case studies around materials circularity, Net Zero, refrigerant reclamation and emissions reduction metrics.
  • Attend company functions, lunch and learns , and networking events.
