Requirements

Applicants must have a combined total of at least three years of law enforcement, military, or corrections or 5 years of Armed security-related experience.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on circumstances.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities.
Interact with store staff and visitors to provide assistance, answer questions, and offer guidance as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during critical situations.
Carry and responsibly handle a firearm as part of patrol duties, adhering to all applicable laws and company policies.
